Sketch Battle: Grand Prix (7/22/23)

July’s Sketch Battle: Grand Prix brought back returning champions Cameron Michelle Godfrey (Cam Godfrey, Mackenzie Maguire, Gabe Gerry), The Brother Montgomery (Ryan Santa) and Oily Hams (Adam Sheetz, Kelcey Saunders, Mike Zaite, Isabel Kalafatis, Dasha Taraban) for another round of competitive sketch comedy fun, hosted by Jeremy Sheer (Sad Boys Social Club, WCSB)

Three groups wrote three sketches in response to three prompts: YOU’RE FIRED, NO CHANCE IN HELL, and SLUMBER PARTY. There were clowns, astronauts, goblins, and cake, and no one cried! (Except for Jamie Stewart-Crawford as a black-and-white film starlet, but she was really drunk.)

Our character judges were portrayed by improvisers Erin McHugh (Casually Late), Ruben Ryan (Just Go With It), and Jamie Stewart-Crawford (Improv Game Night).

In our tightest race yet, Oily Hams and The Brother Montgomery TIED for first, with Cameron Michelle Godfrey only one vote behind. Guess that’s karma for being mean to Gabe in all three sketches! Worth it!
