Get In The Game Improv Workshop With Dana Quercioli
02/24/2021
7-9pm EST
$30
8 person cap
In this workshop, we’ll focus on recognizing and exploring initiations and patterns that lead to finding the game in the scene, and then playing it like a pro. Finding the game organically, and using the initiations already established so that you can discover, not invent, your way through a great scene and have the most fun doing it. With exercises designed to heighten your awareness, curiosity, and playfulness, we’ll spend our time using the abilities you already have to make your scene work, group work, and game work way more fun, and a lot less nerve wracking.
Experience Level: Should have a basic grasp of scene work, so level two/b and up.
Bio
Dana Quercioli is a twenty year veteran of sketch comedy and improvisation, and she has loved every second of it. She has been very fortunate to have been a writer, actor and instructor at The Second City Chicago, The Second City Cleveland, and all over the map with The Second City Touring Company. While in Chicago, Dana performed with the powerhouse ensembles of Virgin Daiquiri, Glass Basement, Told, The Armando Diaz Theatrical Experience and Hootenanny, Bogota (with Cecily Strong), BabyMakers (with Colleen Doyle). Most recently she has worked as a freelance writer for Sandwich Video Agency in LA, O'Keefe, Reinhard & Paul Agency in Chicago, a guest instructor at Harvard Business School, and has written several award-winning television pilots.
